We continue to receive many inquiries from health and social care professionals wanting to train in “Conversations Inviting Change.” Here is an update on opportunities in early 2027.
Conwy, North Wales, 16-17 January. Following the fantastically successful live course we held in this historic and beautiful seaside town during summer 2026, the Association of Narrative Practice in Healthcare (ANPH) is offering another live weekend introductory course in mid-January. It will take place from 0930 to 1630 on each day and is open to all health and social care professionals. It will be led by two experienced CIC facilitators, Jens Foell and John Launer, with assistance from participants on the previous course who are now proceeding to train as trainers. Participants will need to book their own transport and accommodation, but Conwy is only around 3 hours by train from London, with excellent hotels and B&Bs.
The fee is £250 including refreshments. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Canada / North America, January-March 2027. We are delighted to announce that two accredited CIC trainers on the other side of the Atlantic, Michelle Kleiner and Alison Gigliotti, are offering a six session online introductory course in CIC on Wednesday evenings from 1900 to 2100 EST (2300 GMT). It is aimed at health and social care professionals mainly from North America but night owls from the UK and Europe will also be welcome. Our two current online 10-month courses leading to accreditation as CIC trainers are both full and well under way (one based in the UK and Europe and the other in Japan and Singapore), but anyone completing either of the Wales or North American introduction courses will be very welcome to apply to join our next course for new trainers which we hope to start organising through ANPH once we have completed training this year’s intake.
