This year is seeing two exciting developments. On June 13th and 14th, we are a running a live introductory course in Wales, in the delightful mediaeval coastal town of Conwy. It will take place from 0930 to 1630 on each day and is open to all health and social care professionals. It will be led by three experienced CIC facilitators: Anna Beug, Jens Foell and John Launer. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. For inquiries, and details of how reserve your place (£100 deposit) please email johnlauner@aol.com.
Starting in September 2026, we will also be running our next online course for new CIC trainers. It will run on alternate Tuesday evenings at 1900UK/Irish time until July 2027, and will be open to anyone who has completed an introductory course (minimum two days) and works in a context where they can apply CIC in professional practice, education or supervision. We are happy to welcome applicants from mainland Europe and other continents if you can manage the timing. The cost will be £1200 (part funding may be possible for a small number of applicants on lower incomes.)
Places on the new trainers course are also limited and we expect the course to be popular. We are asking for applications by 1 May (we will extend this for participants joining the introductory course in Wales to be eligible.) If you wish to apply, please send a recent, brief, relevant CV (Max 3 pages with name and email only) and short cover letter outlining why you wish to join the course and your experience of CIC to date. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview (online). Inquiries and applications should be sent to: anna.beug@icgp.ie.
